"The bike that changed frame design that was outlawed from the 2000 Tour de France until Giant sued and won. It took first place that year with Team Once. Sloping frame with Superlight Sub kilo frame (first mass produced sub kilo frame) with carbon fork and seatpost."Further information on this iconic road bike can be found at the following links:Bikepedia Giant TCR 1 https://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?item=46214Rob's Bike Collector https://www.ridetigervintagevelo.com/store/p33/GIANT_TCR_1_M_2000_NOT_FOR_SALE.htmlIcons of Cycling - Giant TCR https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/latest-news/icons-of-cycling-giant-tcr-206346Full spec:Giant TCR 1 ColourGrey/Gloss WhiteYear200050cm frame19 inch frameReach - handlebar to seatpost56cmHandlebars36cmStem600mmFRAME & FORKFrame ConstructionTIG-weldedFrame MaterialGiant SL CU92 aluminumForkGiant aero - Mike Burrows designFork MateralCarbon fiber composite, aero crownFrame size50cm Reach - handlebar to seatpost56cmCOMPONENTSComponent GroupShimano UltegraBrakesetShimano Ultegra Dual Pivot brakes, Shimano Ultegra STI leversShift LeversShimano Ultegra STI Dual ControlFront DerailleurShimano UltegraRear DerailleurShimano Ultegra SSCranksetShimano Ultegra, 39/53 teethPedalsCan provide flat pedals with cages to cycle it homeSeatpostOriginal Mike Burrows design aero post availableSaddleSelle Italia XOHandlebars36cmHandlebar Stem60mmWHEELSRolf Vector Comp RED1999-2000Wheel Size700c clincher wheelsHubsLightweight precision cartridge bearing hubsetRimsDeeper section aero rimAero cross-section spokesGreater radial and lateral strengthSpoke BrandRolf PrimaSpokesReduced spoke countspokes 18h front, 20h rearHistory of this bike:I've had this bike for almost 10 years, but it was only in use for the first 18 months of my ownership, as this bike got me into road cycling, and I bought a bike which fitted me!Since then, it's had a service in the past year with a view to selling or loaning to friends - neither of which happened. Prior to my ownership, it belonged to my brother in law who used it irregularly for triathlon. Prior to him, it was bought new by someone else for triathlon (who did use it!)It's a lovely classic bike in good cosmetic condition. Whenever I rode it, I got questions about it, and particularly about the flashy Rolf Vector Comp wheels - as they were made famous by Lance Armstrong and his US Postal Service team in the early 2000s. Size & usage: This bike now needs a new happy home where it will either get admired or ridden. Would be an ideal purchase for a collector of cult classics, or, someone who has got into cycling recently and wants their first road bike (but you need to promise you're going to never lock it up outside - it will get nicked immediately!) I'm 5'1" and this bike was a bit too long in the reach for me. Would probably suit a shorter male or female around 5'3" to 5'7". Was previously ridden by men around 5'6". Sale & Collection:Collection in person preferred but drop-off delivery could be arranged, following guidelines. Cycling is being encouraged by the UK Government and sales & repair of bicycles is still deemed "essential". Notes:No, I'm afraid I will not take the bike apart and sell the wheels separately! Offers considered. Priced to sell. Any further questions, please do ask :)
