It was 'the bike that lives up to its name'.1985 Eddy Merckx Professional, size 54cm. ColumbusSL frame in original great condition. A few scratches as one would expect of a bike of this age, which I’ve phographed, but genrally in really great condition.A very kind fellow Ebayer has been in touch to say he believes this to be a 3-Athlete Eddy Merckx frame on account of the style of lugs. I really don't want to mislead potential buyer, but just to say I purchased the bike from a really reputable well-established dealer/collector in Belgium. The serial number is correct for the professional series in 85/86.Paintwork and decals are original, all parts areworking fine. The bike was last serviced at vintage bike specialist PedalPedler in London, and I have only been out a few short rides since then.The bike was bought in Belgium and the previous oneowner had done it was said less than 300lkm on it, which I can quite believe. I’ve done a few short 1 hr long rides on it in total - dry weather only -since 2017 when I purchased it.
